Ingredients
  

Pasta and Chicken

  • 8 oz Penne pasta Uncooked about 2½ cups
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1.5 lbs Chicken breast boneless, skinless Cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Sauce

  • 3 Garlic cloves Minced
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Whole milk
  • 1 cup Heavy cream

Cheese and Seasoning

  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese Divided
  • 0.5 tsp Dried basil
  • 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.25 cup Parsley fresh Chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat & Cook Pasta
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook Chicken
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook until golden and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Make Alfredo Sauce
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cream. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Add Cheese & Seasoning
  • Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan, ½ cup mozzarella, basil, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Assemble the Bake
  • In a large bowl or baking dish, combine pasta, cooked chicken, and sauce. Pour into a greased 9x13" dish. Top with remaining ½ cup mozzarella.
  • Bake
  • Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden. For extra browning, broil the top for 2 minutes at the end. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
